Hello everyone,
It's good to be back and seeing everyone again. Too bad Alice caught a bug and couldn't be with us at our first class. Hope you feel better soon! We miss you. Of course we miss Marilyn too!
Here are the cards we made Monday.
The cupcake on the first card is made by punching 2 scallop circles, one in pink and one green. Cut out 4 scallops from the pink scallop circle and 6 scallops from the green scallop circle in the shape as shown. Punch out a 1/2 inch circle in red card stock for the cherry on top. Punch out different color with rectangular hand punch for the sprinkles on top. The bottom of the cupcake is made by crimping a square piece of tan card stock and cut to shape. The cupcake is placed on a white card stock and matted with a green card stock. A green 1" wide ribbon is taped across the card. Stamp sentiment and punch out using word window punch.
This next Hawaiian couple card is made with 1" circle punch, 1-1/16" circle punch and 1-1/2 circle punch. The sun is made with 1-1/2 circle punch out of yellow card stock, sponged with orange ink all around. The girl's head and body is made with 1" circle punch out of tan card stock. Girl's hair is made out of 1-1/16" circle punch out of black card stock and half circle for the hair front. Girl's grass skirt is also made with the 1" circle punch with cut slits and sponge with green ink.
The boy's head is made with the 1" circle punch out of tan card stock with half circle for hair front. The boy's body is made with the 1-1/16" circle punch. Boy's grass skirt is made the same way as the girl's except with 1-1/16" circle punch. Flowers are punched in different colors to decorate as shown and using white ink for the flowers' center. The green card bottom is made by tearing the top edge to look like grass.
The pin wheels card is made by using a 2" scallop square punch out of 3 different double-sided papers. Draw light pencil lines diagonally across the squares. Cut a slit about less than 1" from each corner. Put some double-sided tape in the center. Fold in the corners as shown. Attach the buttons with glue dots. Round out corner on bottom of card. Punch out a ticket stub shape for the sentiment.
The gift card/money holder card is made by using a 4" x 12" piece of double-sided paper, score at 4" and 8". Fold one end upward and the opposite end downward diagonally as shown . Put a thin strip of tape on bottom of one end as shown. Punch out a white circle and a green scallop circle. Tape together and add butterfly embellishment. Stamp sentiment on white card stock and punch out using ticket punch. Mat on green card stock. Adhere everything on a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" brown card stock.
That's it for now. If anyone needs catch up time, please email me and let me know what you need. Thanks and see you next time!
