December 12, 2011 Card Making Class

Hello ladies,

Hope you are ready for the holidays!  I'm not. ;o) Below are the cards we made in our last class meeting.  They were kept simple as promised so everyone can have a chance to eat.  As it turns out, I was the one who get to have more time to eat! :o)

The first card was made by using these sticker dots and arranged them into a tree shape as shown.  Add a gold bow at the bottom and gold sentiment sticker on the top left.  Mat with black card stock and adhere to a white card base.

This next card also used the same sticker dots on top of white circles using 1" circle punch.  Wrap gold ribbon around gold card stock and adhere the circles as shown.  Punch 2" x 4" white card stock with edge punch and glue to the bottom of gold card stock.  Add gold sentiment and another sticker dot as shown.

The angel for this next card was made by using a butterfly punch out of gold card stock for the wings, large petal punch out of white/gray swirl pattern paper for the body and 3/4 " circle punch out of ivory card stock for the face.  The halo was made by first punching 1/2" circle punch out of gold card stock,and then using a 3/4" circle punch and slit punch right above the just punched 1/2" circle to form a halo.  Add a gold bow around the collar, and adhere to the pattern paper with foam tape.  The pattern paper with the angel was then adhered on top of a blue card stock and finally glued onto the beige card base.  Sentiment was stamped with black ink onto ivory card stock and punched out shape.  Adhere onto card base with foam tape.

 This last card was made using Starform vase sticker onto a shiny green and silver paper to give the glassy look and pop up with foam tape onto card base.  Flowers and leaves were punched out using different punches and shimmery color papers. Adhere pearls in the flower centers and glue above the vase as shown.  Add silver sticker sentiment onto die cut scallop oval.  Wrap ribbon around the card center and round off corners of card base as shown.
