March 31 & April 14, 2014 Card Making Class

Hello everyone,

Sorry for not posting until now.  I have been quite busy the last couple of months.  I am posting both card classes below.
This first card from the March 31 card class was made by using Fire Works color spray (yellow, orange & red) onto watercolor paper.  Spray first layer as desired and dry with dryer, place stencil on top and spray a second layer.  Remove stencil and dry with dryer.  Add gold rose stickers and adhere on top of black card base.  Finish off with gold sticker sentiment.
The birthday card was made by using the designer label punch on pattern papers and EK Success water drop punch  on yellow card stock.  Sponge orange ink on yellow drops to resemble flames.  Adhere birthday paper onto bottom of white card base and adhere candles and flames using foam tape onto top half of card.
This bunny shaker card was made by first cutting out the bunny using a Sizzix die on light blue card panel.  Working from the back of the blue die cut panel, cover the opening by adhering a clear acrylic plastic piece.  Then adhering foam tape around the opening to create a sealed open area to contain the confetti.  Add the confetti and tape it shut with a small piece of polka dot paper.  Adhere ribbon on the bottom half of the blue card panel and add gold sentiment sticker on top as shown.  Adhere a polka dots pattern paper onto the white card base for the card background and adhere the blue panel with foam tape onto the front of the card as shown.
This single rose card was made by applying the rose, corner trims and border trims onto a white card panel as shown.  Color the rose with markers and adhere onto rose embossed card panel.  Tie a sheer burgundy ribbon onto the bottom of the rose card panel as shown.  Adhere the panel onto white card base with foam tape to finish.
From the April 14 card class, this pineapple iris folding card was made by using the Sizzix pineapple die to cut out shape on white glossy card panel and emboss panel with flower emboss folder.  The top green leaves of the pineapple was made by using light and dark green papers in alternate orders. the bottom of the pineapple was also made by alternating the light and dark yellow pattern papers in oval iris pattern.  Adhere the finished iris panel onto olive green card panel before taping it onto white card base.  Finished off with an orange bow.
The deer card was made by stamping the deer onto ivory die cut oval using brown ink.  Stamp sentiment with brown ink on ivory card stock and punch out with designer label punch. Sponge edges of oval and label with brown ink.  Tie brown twine around bottom of copper background paper before adhering it onto ivory card base.  Adhere oval and label with foam tape onto card base as shown.
This next card was made by adhering the square pattern paper onto red card panel.  Glue flowers onto panel as shown.  Add bling sticker to flower centers as shown before adhering the panel onto white card base.  Finish off with gold sentiment sticker.
This easel card was made by using  a 4-1/4" x 11" white card panel and scoring at 1-1/2", 3-1/2"and 5-1/2" for the folds. Adhere the suede pattern paper onto black card panel and adhere to the large back panel. Add a black brad to the silver flower before adhering it to the corner of the back panel.
Assemble the smaller suede pattern paper and black panel the same and adhere to the middle folder panel as shown.  Add a silver brad onto the small black flower and the white glitter flower before adhering it onto the black scallop circle as shown.  Tape the assembled flower onto the middle panel with some sticky tape.  Assemble the smallest suede pattern paper and black panel for the front card panel.  Wrap gray and silver ribbon around the panel before adhering it to the front card panel.  Finish it off with a black glitter flower with silver brad in the front.
Since the card would not stay upright, I added a folded white card panel to the back, but some ladies in class think it would look better by taping the front 2 panels to the back panel.  So as long as everyone is happy, who am I to say otherwise?  :o)
Well that's it for now.  See you at the next class meeting!
