April 28, 2014 Card Making Class

Hello ladies,

Another busy week is almost over and I am finally get to update my blog.  Below are the cards we made in the previous class.

This seahorses card was made by first spraying some blue and purple Fireworks ink onto watercolor paper.  Let dry or dry it with a heat gun.  Adhere onto white card base, add the aqua die cut frame on top with foam tape.  Add seahorse stickers as shown, punch out white oval and adhere to the bottom of card.  Add sentiment and bow at the bottom to finish.

This flower card was made by first stamping the image with clear VersaMark ink onto watercolor paper.  Add clear embossing powder and heat with heat gun.  Using a water brush and some H2O watercolor to color over the entire panel as shown and let dry.  Tie ribbon around at bottom of panel before adhering onto purple card stock.  Adhere panel onto white card base.  Add a punch scallop onto card with foam tape and finish off with sticker sentiment.

This Iris Folding tea pot was made by first cover up the handle, spout, and lid with blue pattern paper.  Following the iris pattern to cover the center of the pot and finish with a piece of blue iridescent paper.  Mat with a dark blue card stock before adhering the panel onto white card base.  Finish off with sentiment sticker at the bottom of card.

This bike card is perfect for my father as he used to be in the bicycle business for many years.  Now that he's retired, he likes to ride his bike around the neighborhood.   Stamp the bike image with brown ink onto white card panel.  Mat on top of brown card stock and set aside.  Wrap black ribbon around brown checker paper before adhering it onto dark brown card base.  Add the stamped bike panel onto card with foam tape as shown and finish off with sticker sentiment.

Well, that's it for now.  This coming Monday is our last class for the Spring Session.  Class will resume in the Fall (September).  Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there!
