Winter Card Making Class - March 15, 2023

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone,

Below is a recap of the cards we made at our last class meeting.

Stenciled Dragonflies: Tape torn sheets of scrap paper over white card panel to mask out the opening. Place and secure background stencil over. Brush or sponge on Peacock Feather Distress Ink. Remove stencil and apply remaining ink over the area before remove the scrap papers. Assemble card with embellishment and sentiment as shown.

Warm Quilt: Stamp image on white card panel. Use color pencil and Gamsol to color and blend stamped image. Assemble card with bakers twine as shown.

Birthday Butterfly: Cover white card panel with a thin layer of Distress Collage Medium evenly. Let dry before scribbling Distress Crayon colors onto card panel. Use finger to spread & blend colors. Lightly spray butterfly stamp with water and put colored card panel onto stamp. Rub evenly to transfer image from stamp. Lift card panel and dab off any extra moisture from colored card panel. Place a second plain white card panel onto stamp to pick up remaining color from stamp for the next card below.

Thank You Butterfly: Use 2nd image from the above card to assemble and embellish card with ribbon, gem and sentiment as shown.

Happy Easter: Apply VersaMark ink over embossing folder, place die cut egg in folder to emboss image and transfer ink. Apply embossing powder and heat emboss die cut. Assemble card with ribbon and sentiment sticker as shown.

Precious Friends: Apply chalk (or eye shadow) colors onto black card panel. Stamp image with VersaMark ink over chalked panel to create background. Stamp and punch out sentiment, add ribbon and gems, and assemble card as shown.

Thinking of You: Apply distress inks on embossing folder, lightly mist water over inks, place watercolor paper into embossing folder, and emboss the image. Assemble card and die cut images as shown.

Sea Horses Birthday: Add alcohol inks blending solution onto the back of embossed acetate sheet and use hand blower to move inks around. Tape sheet to die cut blue frame, add sea horses stickers to the front. Adhere panel to white card base and add blue iridescent Washi tape and sentiment to finish card as shown.

Happy St. Patrick's Day: Stamp and emboss sentiment with gold embossing powder on ivory card panel. Assemble card with pattern paper and embellishments as shown.
