Summer 2025 - Handmade Greeting Cards Workshop, July 2, 2025

Hope you are doing well. Below is a quick recap of the cards we made in class. Next class meeting will July 30, 2025. Enjoy some time off and see you then.

3D Emboss Spring Bouquet: Apply white ink onto front side of the 3D embossing folder and place purple card panel in between. Run through machine to emboss. Lightly apply VersaMark Clear ink on top layer of the embossing panel to add more dimension. Adhere panel onto black mat before adhering to white card base. Add sticker sentiment and glitter glue as shown.

Angel Fish Iris Folding: Fold pattern papers and follow iris folding pattern to assemble fish iris. Adhere panel to black mat before adhering to aqua card base. Add stamp sentiment and eye to finish card as shown.
Blue Stamp Flowers: Stamp flowers with black ink onto white card panel. Place swirl stencil on top of stamped card panel and sponge Artic Versafine Clair ink. Stamp scripts with Artic Versafine Clair ink and stamp off before stamping onto card panel. Color flowers with Wink of Stella glitter pen. Adhere panel to navy blue mat before adhering to white card base. Add blue bow and stamp sentiment to finish.
Flower Shaker Card: Adhere clear acetate on to back of pink polka dot cut out. Glue white flower die cut to front of pink polka dot panel on top of acetate. From the back of card panel, line the flower opening with double-sided foam tape to create a well and put sequins and glitters inside. Place glitter square panel on top to seal the well. Add more foam tape around the back of pink card polka dot panel and adhere to pink card base. Add sentiment sticker and sequin to front to finish card as shown.

Summer 2025 - Gel Plate Monoprinting Workshop June 25, 2025

Copper Leaves & Flower Die Cut: Brayer a thin layer of copper acrylic paint onto gel plate and place leaves on top. Place a piece of scratch paper over and rub all over to impress the leave patterns onto gel plate. Remove leaves and let paint dry completely. Add little drops of yellow and green acrylic paints all over the gel plate and brayer to cover gel plate. Place paper on top, rub well to make sure all the paints are adhered to the paper and lift print. Die cut print with scallop rectangle stitch die and flower die. Assemble card with ribbon, sentiment and butterfly gem onto terra cotta card base as shown.

Wavy Distress Ink & Turtle Die Cut: Brayer Tumble Glass ink onto gel plate and place paper on top to pull 1st background print. Brayer Peacock Feather onto gel plate, place wavy stencil onto gel plate, place the 1st background print over top and rub well to pick up the wavy patterns for the 2nd print. Remove wavy stencil and place 2nd print back on gel plate to pull the 3rd and final print. Die cut with rectangular stitch frame. Adhere turtle die cut, bubble stickers and sentiment onto print as shown. Adhere print onto blue mat before adhering onto white card base.

Distress Oxide Emboss Roses: Brayer Spiced Marmalade, Salt Water Taffy and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide inks onto gel plate. Place embossed rose cardboard panel on top and lightly rub to transfer rose images onto plate. Remove panel and place paper on top to pull print. Die cut frame with the shape die. Place print into the roses 3D embossing folder lining up with the flowers and run through machine to emboss the image. Adhere die cut & embossed print onto green card base. Add sentiment, gems and green bow to finish card.

Coral & Gold Perfect Pearl Butterflies: Place butterflies stencil onto gel plate and brush on gold Perfect Pearl powder. Wipe off excess powder with dry towel and remove stencil. Brayer a thin layer of coral acrylic paint and place paper on top to pull print. Die cut panel with rectangular slot die. Add ribbon, gems and sentiment before adhering onto ivory card base.
