Spring 2025 - Handmade Greeting Cards Workshop, May 14, 2025

Bubble Stencil Angel Fish: Adhere some temporary tape around white card panel to create a frame. Place 1st stencil on top of card panel and sponge on Broken China Distress ink. Remove 1st stencil, place 2nd stencil on top and sponge on Peacock Feathers Distress ink. Remove 2nd stencil and sponge on Tumble Glass over the entire background. Remove temporary tapes and adhere fish die cut, bubbles and sentiment sticker. Adhere card panel to aqua card base and add aqua metallic washi tape to top and bottom of card to finish.

Embossed Roses: Sponge clear VersaMark ink onto rose 3D embossing folder and place yellow card panel in the folder to emboss images. Add gold translucent embossing powder over yellow card panel and heat emboss the card. Sponge Tangelo Memento ink onto roses and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink around the edges. Adhere panel to green mat and wrap gold ribbon around before adhering to ivory card base. Add gold sentiment sticker onto vellum scallop circle and adhere to card to finish.

Lion Iris Folding: Sponge lion mane, muzzle and tail with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Sponge face with Wild Honey Distress ink. Tape mane, face, muzzle and tail onto the back of die cut lion card and begin taping the pattern papers following the Lion Iris Folding pattern provided. Adhere finished panel onto brown mat before adhering onto ivory card base. Add gold sentiment sticker to finish.

 
Double Column Butterflies: Fold along score lines and tape down columns as shown. Stamp butterfly using Lulu Lavender, Lilac Posies and Grape Jelly Memento inks. Adhere pattern papers and white card panel as shown.

Double Column Butterflies: Adhere pattern paper and add gems and stamp sentiment to card front to finish.

Spring 2025 - Gel Plate Monoprinting Workshop May 7, 2025

Distress Oxide Stencil Balloons: Brayer Tumble Glass & Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks onto gel plate. Place stars & stripes stencil on to gel plate and place paper on top. Rub well to transfer pattern and lift print. Remove stencil and brayer remaining inks onto gel plate. Replace print onto gel plate to add background color to print. Die cut print with rounded rectangular stitch die. Stamp and die cut balloons. Add ribbon and sentiment before adhering onto white card base.

Perfect Pearl Acrylic Giraffes: Place stencil onto gel plate and brush on copper Perfect Pearl powder to cover the stencil open areas. Clean off any excess powder and remove stencil. Brayer a thin layer of mustard yellow acrylic paint on top. Place paper over, rub thoroughly to transfer the background and lift print. Die cut print with rectangular stitch die. Stamp image with black StazOn ink, adhere washi tape and add sentiment before mounting onto kraft mat and ivory card base.

Distress Inks Leaves & Dragonfly: Brayer Mowed Lawn & Pealed Paint Distress Inks onto gel plate. Place background leaves stamp on to gel plate to impress leaves image and remove. Place paper on top to lift print and stamp the inked leaves onto print to add secondary image. Die cut print with rectangular die and add ribbon before adhering onto yellow card base. Add dragonfly, gems and sentiment to finish card as shown.

Acrylic Paints Floral: Place small dots of pastel pink, purple, blue and green acrylic paints onto gel plate. Lightly brayer paint to cover the plate without over-mixing them. Place paper over top, rub well and lift print. Die cut print with shape die and stamp floral bouquet with black ink. Adhere to green card base and add sentiment sticker and pink Stickles drops onto flower centers to finish card.

Spring 2025 - Handmade Greeting Cards Workshop, April 30, 2025

Hope are doing well and enjoying the sunshine. Below is a recap of the cards we made in our first class. Our next and last class for the Spring session will be Wednesday, May 14 and Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Embossed Best Wishes: Emboss peach card panel with swirls embossing folder. Lightly swipe Moonlit white Brilliance Ink on the raised surface of the embossed panel and brush White Perfect Pearl powder over the panel. Adhere peach embossed panel onto brown card panel and wrap ribbon around before placing onto ivory card base. Place silver stickers and gems onto scallop vellum circle. Add glue in the back of vellum behind the stickers and gems and adhere onto the card center as shown.

Front Step Pop-Up Balloon: Fold 4 1/4" x 11" bright pink card base in half. Score and fold 4" x 9 3/4" white card at 2 1/4" and 4 1/2". Adhere cards and floral pattern papers as shown. Stamp and heat emboss hot air balloon with Distress pink embossing powder on white card panel. Adhere onto bright pink card panel and place onto the front panel. Add bow, gems and sentiment as shown.

Faux-Step Stencil Floral: Score and fold 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" green card base panel at 3/4", 1 1/2" & 3 1/2". Fold 3" x 8 1/2" green card front panel in half. Sponge flowers on 2 3/4" x 4" white card panel using floral stencil and Memento inks. Adhere to front of green panel. Add gems and stamp sentiment to finish as shown.

Polished Stone Seaside View: Add few drops of rubbing alcohol and reinkers (blues and silver) onto sponge applicator. Apply ink onto glossy card panel. Stamp seaside image using black StazOn ink.  Assemble card panels together as shown. Add sentiment sticker and twine to finish.

Spring 2025 - Gel Monoprinting Workshop April 23, 2025

Welcome back to our Gel Printing class. Below is a recap of the cards we made in our first class. Our next and last class meeting for the Spring session will be on May 7, 2025.

Flower & Butterflies Birthday: Place small drops of yellow, pink and red acrylic paints in various spot on gel plate. Brayer lightly to cover plate without over mixing it. Cut out a piece of the print to place behind green flower die cut panel. Stamp and die cut butterflies and sentiment on remaining print. Assemble card together on yellow card base as shown. Add ribbon and gems to finish.

Just For You Sea Life: Brayer Hero Arts Ombre ink onto gel plate. Stamp swirl patterns on top, rub and lift print. Die cut frame with round corner stitch rectangular die. Stamp fish and seahorse using Warm Breeze Versafine Clair ink. Stamp corals with Memento Sand ink. Add sentiment and adhere onto blue mat before adhering to white card base.

Dragonflies and Fairy Birthday: Brayer Spun Sugar, Wilted Violet and Concord Grape Distress Oxide ink onto gel plate. Place swirl stencil on top and use a piece of scratch paper to rub and transfer the swirl patterns onto gel plate. Remove scratch paper and stencil. Place white paper over gel plate and rub well before lifting print. Die cut frame with rectangular stitch die. Stamp fairy, dragonflies and flowers with black ink. Put circle mask over fairy image and sponge Grape Jelly Memento ink around circle. Color image with gel pens and add lavender gems before adhering onto white card base.
Perfect Pearl Sea Horse: Place swirl stencil onto gel plate and brush various color of Perfect Pearls all over top to add pattern to gel plate. Clean off excess powder and remove stencil. Brayer a thin layer of metallic green acrylic paint over the gel plate. Place paper on top, rub well to transfer the image and lift print. Die cut frame with rectangular stitch die. Stamp sea horse with VersaMark clear ink and heat emboss with holographic black embossing powder. Assemble card with black mat as shown and add sticker sentiment before adhering onto aqua card base.
