Summer 2026: Last Gel Monoprinting Workshop on Wednesday, July 29, 2026

 Hello everyone,

Below is a quick recap of the cards we made in our last Summer Gel Printing workshop. Fall 2026 session will start in September. I will send out an email notification once it is posted online.

Acrylic Sea Life: Brayer blue metallic and light blue acrylic paints onto gel plate. Press wavy cardboard and bubble wrap onto gel plate to add waves and bubble pattern. Place paper on top and rub well before lifting print. Die cut frame using rectangular die. Stamp seaweeds with Versafine Clair ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.
Watercolor Florals: Brayer  Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink onto gel plate and pull 1st print. Brayer Dried Marigold Distress Oxide ink onto gel plate, place stencil onto gel plate and place 1st print back on top. Rub well to pick up stencil image and pull 2nd print. Stamp flowers with black ink and die cut frame with round rectangle die. Color flowers and leave with watercolor pencils and use Wink of Stella clear pen to blend colors. Adhere panel onto black mat before adhering onto pink card base. Add sticker sentiment onto scallop vellum before adhering to card. Add pink bow and glitter glue to finish.
Heat Embossed Florals: Brayer Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Peeled Paint Distress inks onto gel plate to pull print. Die cut print with shape die. Stamp and heat emboss floral background with white embossing powder. Adhere panel onto green vellum and wrap sheer ribbon around before adhering onto ivory card base. Add stamp sentiment and gems to finish.
Cowboy Boot: Brayer Antique Linen and Tea Dye onto gel plate and pull print. Die cut print with stitch rectangular die. Stamp cloud using Portobello Versafine Clair ink. Stamp boot, cacti with Pinecone Versafine Clair ink. Color images with marker and adhere to brown mat. Add sticker sentiment and adhere onto ivory card base.

Flamingo Iris Folding: Tape down the pattern paper strips in the back of the die cut flamingo card by following the pattern provided. Sponge green ink the embossed areas on the front of the panel. Adhere die cut legs onto the front before adhering to black mat and aqua card base. Add stamp sentiment and gems to finish.
Poppies Thank You: Stamp poppies onto white card panel with black ink and color with markers. Stamp shadow spots with New Sprouts Memento ink and tape onto green mat. Emboss front fold with swirl embossing folder and adhere stamp panel to front fold. Adhere white card panel to the inside and add bow and stamp sentiment to finish as shown.
Sea Scape Birthday: Fold blue card panel along score line and stamp seahorse, fish and bubbles with Bahama Blue Memento ink along the side. Stamp jelly fish, bubbles, algae and pebbles using Tangelo, Bahama Blue, Bamboo Leaves and Desert Sand Memento inks respectively on white card panels. Assemble card as shown and sticker sentiment and green bow to finish.
Butterfly Explosion Gatefold: Following the score lines and fold base card and pattern paper to make the folds. Add stamp sentiment, bow and pearls to assemble together as shown in the pictures below.

Hope you are staying cool inside. Below is a quick recap of the cards we made in our first class. Next and last class meeting for the Summer Session will be on July 29, 2026.

Summer Surfboards: Brayer Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass & Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks onto gel plate. Stamp surfboards with black ink and die cut print with rounded rectangle die. Color surfboards with markers. Mount panel onto black mat before adhering onto white card base. Add stamped sentiment to finish.
Stencil Leaves & Flamingo: Brayer Twisted Citron & Mowed Lawn Distress inks onto gel plate. Place leaves stencil on top and place paper over. Rub well to transfer leave images. Remove print and stencil. Brayer the gel plate again using the remaining inks on the gel plate and brayer. Place the initial print back on gel plate and rub well to add colors to the background. Die cut print with curve die. Adhere print onto rose card base. Sponge die cut flamingo and wing with Rose Bud Memento and color beak with black marker. Adhere flamingo and die cut legs onto card. Add stamped sentiment and black gem for the eye to finish.
3D Embossed Hibiscus: Brayer Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks onto gel plate. Place multi-media card panel on top and rub well before pulling print. Die cut print with rectangle stitch die and deboss panel with 3D embossing folder. Brayer Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink onto gel plate and place the debossed panel onto gel plate. Lightly rub the perimeter to pick up the green color without covering the entire deboss image. Adhere panel onto black mat before mounting onto yellow card base. Add sticker sentiment and highlight the flower centers with gold pen and glitter glue to finish. 
Perfect Pearl Fuchsia Celebrate: Place flower stencil onto gel plate and brush on Micro Pearl Perfect Pearl powders. Wipe off excess powder and remove stencil. Brayer a thin layer of Fuchsia acrylic paint all over gel plate and place paper on top. Rub well and pull print. Die cut print using Celebrate die. Adhere print onto Pearlescent paper panel before adhering onto Pearlescent Pink card base. Add Washi strips on top and bottom of card to finish.

Summer 2026: Handmade Greeting Cards Workshops on Wednesday, July 8, 2026

Polished Stone Butterflies: Apply rubbing alcohol and a couple drops of pink and purple reinkers to each cotton ball. Rub the colors onto glossy card panel. Place gold butterfly sticker onto colored panel. Adhere panel onto white mat before adhering onto pink mat. Assemble panels onto pink card base as shown. Add washi tape and bow to finish.
3D Embossed Fish: Sponge on Twisted Citron & Peacock Feathers Distress Inks onto white glossy card panel. Emboss wave pattern onto inked card panel using 3D embossing folder. Lightly rub Danube Blue Memento ink pad on top of embossed card panel and wipe off excess ink with paper towel. Adhere onto navy blue card base. Adhere die cut fish, gems and stamp sentiment to finish card as shown.

Canoe Fancy Folding: Adhere the back of the blue canoe die cut card panel onto pattern provided using temporary tape. Follow pattern and tape down pattern papers in numerical orders. Adhere finish card panel onto black mat before adhering onto white card base. Add silver sticker sentiment to finish.

Double-Flap Florals - Front: Fold red card base along score lines and adhere floral pattern papers as shown. Stamp flowers & dragonfly with black ink and color with makers. Add gems and stamp sentiment as shown.

Spring 2026: Last Gel Monoprinting Workshop on Wednesday, May 27, 2026

Monet Inspired Irises: Stamp Irises onto gel plate using black StazOn ink. Brayer light blue, royal blue & purple acrylic paints on top of stamped images. Place paper over gel plate, rub well and pull print. Die cut print with rectangular die. Color irises using chalk color pencils. Adhere print onto black mat before adhering onto ivory card base.
Sea Life w/ Distress Oxide Inks: Brayer Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean & Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide inks onto gel plate. Place bubble wrap on top and press in bubbles. Remove bubble wrap and place paper on top to pull print. Die cut print with stitch rectangle die. Stamp sea life and seaweed images with black ink. Adhere onto black mat before adhering onto gray card base. Add gems and sticker sentiment to finish card.
Lilacs w/ Distress Inks: Brayer Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry & Peeled Paint onto gel plate. Place paper on top and pull print. Stamp lilac blossoms & leave with black ink. Die cut print with stitch rectangle and adhere onto black mat before adhering onto green card base. Add gems and stamp sentiment to finish.
Die Cut Butterfly: Brayer Mustard Seed & Spiced Marmalade onto gel plate and stamp floral lacy image on top. Die cut print with rectangle and butterfly dies. Adhere die cut print behind ivory intricate die cut panel and adhere onto green mat before adhering onto ivory card base. Adhere die cut butterfly behind black intricate butterfly die cut. Glue butterfly and sentiment die cuts onto card front. Add gems to butterfly body to finish.

3D-Deboss Leaves: Sponge Mustard Seed & Mowed Lawn Distress Inks onto glossy card panel. Place inked panel on the back side of the Leaves 3D embossing folder to deboss images. Lightly rub Peeled Paint Distress ink on top of debossed panel to add more details. Adhere panel onto green mat and wrap ribbon around before adhering ivory card base. Add gems and flowers for the finishing touch.
Cowboy Hat Fancy Folding: Using brown & multi-color pattern paper strips and follow the pattern provided to fill in the cowboy hat die cut. Adhere panel onto brown mat before adhering onto ivory card base. Add washi tape on each side and add sticker sentiment to finish.
Fairies on Vellum: Color images on the back side using Prismacolor pencils. Adhere vellum behind purple card strips to the top and bottom of vellum. Add gold trims and adhere onto white card base. Add sticker sentiment as shown.

Triple-Layer Stamping Butterflies: Adhere 3 layers of white card panels together using temporary tape. Stamp butterfly images with 3-color stamp pad. Remove stamped panels and adhere onto coordinated black mats before adhering onto cyan card base. Add gems and sticker sentiment to finish.

Spring 2026: Gel Monoprinting Workshop on Wednesday, May 13, 2026

Hello everyone, 

Hope you are all doing well.

Below is a quick recap of the cards we made in our class. Our last class meeting for the Spring session will be on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Almond Blossoms: Brayer ivory and brown acrylic paints onto gel plate and lift 1st print. Next, brayer light blue, aqua and white acrylic paint onto gel plate, and place tree die cut mask on top before placing 1st print over top. Rub well to ensure the paint in between the branches are transfered onto paper and lift the final print. Die cut print using rectangular frame die. Sponge Warm Breeze VersaClair ink around edges. Use chalk color pencils to add details to the tree branches and add leaves. Adhere print onto black mat before adhering onto ivory card base. Glue white flowers and gems on top to finish.
Stencil Flowers: Brayer Mustard Seed & Twisted Citron Distress inks onto gel plate. Place flower stencil onto gel plate with paper on top. Rub well to pick up 1st print. Remove stencil and place print back on to pick up remaining pattern from gel plate. Die cut frame using rounded rectangular die and adhere to black mat before adhering to yellow card base. Add die cut flower, gem and stamp sentiment to finish.
Die Cut Butterfly: Brayer Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar & Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks on to gel plate and pull print. Cut butterfly using butterfly die cut. Emboss green background panel using leaves embossing folder. Assemble card together as shown and add pearl and sticker sentiment to finish.
Pan Pastel Swirl Background: Place swirl stencil onto gel plate and brush on Pan Pastel colors. Clean off excess powders and remove stencil. Brayer various colors of blue acrylic paints onto gel plate. Place paper on top and rub well to pick up pattern. Die cut frame and glue behind blue ocean border frame. Adhere onto white card base and add washi paper on both side. Add gems and sticker sentiment to finish.
