Winter 2026: Last Handmade Greeting Cards Workshops on Wednesday, March 4 and Saturday, March 7, 2026

Hope you are doing well and enjoying the nice weather. Registration for the Spring 2026 Adult Education Classes is now available online at www.pvpusd.net. 

Handmade Greeting Cards:

- 3 Saturdays (4/18, 5/9 & 5/23) at Rancho Del Mar Campus from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM

- 3 Wednesdays (4/22, 5/6 & 5/20) at Malaga Cove Campus from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM

Gel Monoprinting Cards:

- 3 Wednesdays (4/29, 5/13 & 5/27) at Malaga Cove Campus from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM

Mother's Day 2-Step Stamping: Fold vellum in half for card base, attach large white card panel (for writing your own sentiment) to the inside of the vellum card base. Adhere the back of the vellum card base onto yellow large card panel. Adhere two small yellow card panels onto the front and back of vellum front flap. Stamp small white card panel with flower outlines with Tangelo Memento ink and fill in the flowers with Cantaloupe and Dandelion Memento inks using the solid flower image stamp. Adhere onto the small yellow card panel on the card front. Add sticker sentiment, gems and bow to finish.

3D Emboss Roses: Adhere roses pattern paper onto the front flap and ivory card panel on the inside of the green card base. Emboss the white glossy card panel with the 3D rose embossing folder. Rub Rose Bud Memento ink directly onto the embossed rose panel and use a paper towel to rub and spread ink across the rose panel. Adhere the rose panel onto green card panel and mount it onto card front as shown. Assemble the triangular rose pattern paper and green card panel together and adhere to bottom of card base to create a pocket to tuck in the rose panel as shown.

Quilled Cupcake: Mount the stripe card panel onto green card panel with foam tape. Mount the blue cupcake liner with foam tape into the circle opening. Using the quilling tool, roll all five 4" ivory strips from both ends to create the scrolls as shown. Roll the 4" red strip into round coil and glue together leaving a short tip for the stem. Add little dabs of glue to the bottom of each scroll and coil to build the cupcake as shown. Add gems, stamp sentiment and mount the assembled green panel onto the gray card base. to finish.

Triple-Layer Stamped Lilacs: Use temporary tape to mount three white card layers together. Stamp leaves and flowers onto the three layers. Remove and adhere each layer onto each corresponding purple mat. Assemble the layers together onto purple card base as shown. Add sticker sentiment, gems and bow to finish.

Octopus w/ Alcohol Ink Background: Spritz some rubbing alcohol onto gel plate before adding green, teal and blue alcohol ink on top. Use air blower to distribute the color around to cover gel plate. Place swirls stencil on top, then place a piece of scratch paper over and press down to absorb some ink. Remove scratch paper and fan to dry the alcohol inks. Remove stencil and fan some more to dry off all alcohol inks that may be have trapped under stencil. Brayer some blue and metallic green acrylic paints over the dried alcohol inks. Place paper on top and rub well before pulling print. Die cut frame and adhere to card base. Stamp and die cut octopus. Adhere octopus, corals, sea weeds and sandstone onto card base. Add stamp sentiment to finish as shown.
Flowers and Bees: Brayer yellow and orange Distress inks onto gel plate. Place stencil on to gel plate and then place paper over top. Rub well and pull 1st print. Remove stencil and brayer gel plate using remaining ink on brayer without re-inking. Replacing 1st print onto gel plate to pick up background colors to lift final print. Die cut frame and stamp flowers & bees. Color flowers and bees using watercolor pencils and brush with Wink of Stella to blend. Emboss orange vellum before adhering onto green card base. Add gems, sticker sentiment and bow to finish.
Serene Landscape: Brayer yellow, blue and green Distress Oxide inks onto gel plate. Place Serene Landscape stamp without inking onto gel plate and press to transfer stamp image onto gel plate. Pick up stamp and place paper over to lift 1st print. Using the same Serene Landscape stamp with the ink lifted from the gel plate, stamp directly onto 1st print to add more details for the final print. Die cut frame and stamp tree, fence, butterflies images & sentiment using Twilight Versafine Clair ink. Adhere to dark green card base and add gems to finish.
Butterflies Best Wishes: Place scroll stencil onto gel plate and brush on gold Perfect Pearl powder. Clean off all excess powders and remove stencil. Brayer a thin layer of coral pink acrylic paint onto gel plate and place paper on top. Rub well and make sure the paint is dry before lifting print. Die cut frame and butterflies before adhering to ivory card base. Add sticker sentiment and pearls to finish.

Hot Air Balloon Iris Folding: Cover basket with stripe pattern paper. Fold the pattern papers in half length wise and follow the instruction on the pattern to adhere the papers in the order specified. Use double-sided tape to adhere the iris folding onto black mat before adhering to white card base and add sticker sentiment to finish card.
Poppies Birthday: Stamp poppies and leaves with black ink onto white card panel. Sponge red, yellow and green color inks to color images. Adhere card panel onto burgundy mat on top of green vellum and pink polka dot strips onto pink card base as shown. Add red gems, green bow and stamped sentiment.to finish card.

Distress Mica Stain 3D Emboss Tulips: Spray water onto mixed media card panel, and then spray yellow, red and green Distress Mica Stain on top. Dry card panel and emboss tulips using 3D embossing folder. Wrap ribbon around panel and adhere onto green card base. Sponge around stamped sentiment with green ink and add to card to finish.
 
Fun Fold Easter Bunny - Front Panel: Stamp tree and bunny with black ink onto white card panel. Place a circle mask on top of tree. Sponge yellow inks around the circle and top part of card panel. Use torn paper mask to sponge green ink at the bottom part of panel for the field around the bunny and stamp grass as desired. Use pink and green glitter pens to add colors to tree and adhere sticker sentiment.

Fun Fold Easter Bunny - Open Back: Fold green card base along score lines as shown. Adhere floral pattern papers onto ivory card panels before adhering onto card base as shown.

Winter 2026: Gel Monoprinting Workshop on Wednesday, January 21, 2026

Seahorses on Distress Oxide Inks: Brayer Tumble Glass & Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks onto gel plate. Use a fan brush to sprinkle some water drops on the gel plate and place a piece of multi-media card panel on top to pick up the color background. Die cut panel using stitch rectangle die and stamp main seahorse image with black ink. Stamp smaller seahorse shadows with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink onto background. Color images with Prismacolor pencils. Adhere panel onto card base and add sticker sentiment to finish.

Giraffe on Distress Inks Background: Brayer Mustard Seed & Peeled Paint Distress inks onto gel plate. Stamp un-inked background leaves stamp onto gel plate. Remove and place white paper onto gel plate to pull background print. Die cut panel using stitch rectangle die and stamp the first giraffe image with Rich Cocoa Memento ink. Stamp second giraffe image with Cantaloupe Memento ink on top. Stamp leaves and grass onto background with Mowed Lawn Distress ink. Sponge ground and edges with same Mowed Lawn ink. Adhere panel onto green mat before adding onto white card base and add sticker sentiment to finish.

Perfect Pearl Acrylic Love: Place swirl stencil onto gel plate and brush on gold Perfect Pearl powder to add design onto plate. Wipe off excess powder and apply a thin coat of red acrylic paint onto gel plate. Place paper and rub well before pulling print. Die cut panel using shape die. Adhere heart washi paper on the side edges of the ivory card base. Adhere the red die cut panel and floral heart die cut in the center. Add gold gems to finish.

St. Patrick Botanical Leaves: Brayer a thin layer of gold acrylic paint onto gel plate and place leaves on top. Place a piece of scratch paper over, press and rub all over, especially to open areas between the leaves. Remove scratch paper and leaves and let the gold paint dry completely. Brayer a thin layer of green acrylic paint on top and place paper over, rub and pull print. Die cut print with leaves and rectangular frame dies. Adhere green die cut panel onto gold mat. Tie ribbon around panel and adhere onto ivory card base. Stamp sentiment and punch out shape. Adhere sentiment and shamrock confetti onto card to finish as shown.
