November 25, 2013 Card Making Class

Hello ladies,

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and getting back to a good week.  Below are the cards we made at our last class meeting.

This New Year card was made by adhering a die cut white circle onto a gold card panel.  The gold snowflake border sticker was adhered around the circle with the gold "Happy New Year" sentiment in the middle of the circle.  Wrap the gold ribbon around the gold panel before adhering the panel onto the ivory card base.  Glue down the pre-cut flowers with glue dots as shown to finish card.
This orchid card was made by adding the silver orchid sticker onto white watercolor card panel  Color the orchid using Twinkling H2O watercolors with water brush as shown.  Tie a pale green ribbon around panel before adhering onto the yellow card base.  Add sentiment to finish card.
This next coffee cups card was made by stamping the coffee cups and sentiment on tan pattern paper and punch out with 1" circle punch.  Punch out 3 large circles of the dark brown pattern paper.  Adhere the punched circles onto clear circle stickers before adhering them to the larger dark brown circles as shown.
Adhere a strip of tan pattern paper on the inside edge and one on the center front of the card base as shown.  Adhere the circles with foam tape onto card front and the faux eyelet stickers in between as shown.  Add sticker sentiment to finish.
This next butterflies and flowers card was made by adhering the butterflies vellum paper onto the pink window card panel.  (The panel was created by using Spellbinder frame to cut out the opening.)  Adhere the pink panel onto white card base with foam tape .  Glue paper flowers in bottom right corner as shown.  Finish with sentiment sticker.
That's it for now.  Our last class meeting for the Fall session is this coming Monday.  Everyone is welcome to bring some little treats to share.  Have a great week and see you all on Monday!
