October 27, 2014 Card Making Class

Happy Hump Day,

Hope your week is going well so far.  Sorry for the late post.  I took the pictures last week, but didn't get a chance to type up the blog.  So here it goes.

This first card was made by adhering purple floral paper over white card base and set aside.  Then color the lilac rubber stamp with purple and olive green Marvy markers.  Spritz some water lightly over the colored stamp image and stamp onto watercolor paper.  Stamp a couple more times on both sides as shown without re-inking.  Let dry and adhere over black card panel.  Tie a purple sheer ribbon around and adhere onto card base.  Stamp sentiment onto white card stock and punch out using designer label punch.  Punch another label using black card stock and cut in half lengthwise, trim the ends and adhere behind the sentiment label. Adhere with foam tape on the top corner to finish.
This pink floral card was made by stamping the flowers with pink ink all over the white card panel and tape over black card panel.  Tie sheer pink ribbon around before adhering onto pink card base.  Punch out three pink flowers, add pearls in the center, sponge petals with pink ink and glue to the top right corner of card base.  Stamp sentiment onto white circle and adhere to the black scallop circle.  Adhere with foam tape onto the bottom right corner as shown.
This Iris Folding card was made by first cutting out the round ornament using the Sizzix framelit die.  The ornament cut-out will be used in the next card. Using three different pattern papers and following the iris pattern to complete the design from the back of the card panel.  When finished, turn it right side up and tape over red card base using double-sided tape.  Add red bow and sentiment to finish.
The last card was made using the cut-out from the previous card and taping pattern gift wrapping ribbons to layer on top of the ornament as shown.  Adhere onto green card and add snow flake, holly and sentiment stickers as shown.  Add bling to finish.
Well that's it for now.  See you all next Monday!  Have a great week.
