March 16, 2015 Card Making Class

Hello ladies,

Hope you are having a nice Spring break.  Here is a recap of the cards we made two weeks ago.  This rose card is made by using the two-step stamping technique and Stampin' Up rose stamp set.  Using Momemto inks, stamp the solid image with the lighter color ink and the outline image with a darker shade for both the flower and the leaves onto white card panel.  Adhere stamped panel onto black mat before adhering onto pink polka dots card base.  Finish off with adhering 3 pink pearl gems on top right hand corner.

This iris folding card was made by following the iris pattern for the crocus flower and the die cut card panel with purple, yellow and green pattern paper strips.  Mount finished iris panel onto kraft card base.  Finish off with adding stickers to all four corners as show.
This sea shells card was made by first punching the beach scene border on blue card panel using the EK Success border punch.  Spray light green and blue Fireworks inks randomly onto a piece of watercolor paper.  Let dry and add sea shell stickers.  Mount watercolor panel onto punch border panel before adhering to a white card base to finish.
This flower pot card was made using the washi quilting technique.  First, die cut out the flower pot out of card stock and light packing sponge material.  Cut out a piece of washi paper slightly larger than the pot.  Glue the cut card stock pot and the packing material together before gluing to washi paper.  Trim and cut slits around the pots. Fold and glue edges to back of card stock.  Tie sheer ribbon around finished pot.  Punch out flowers and add flowers and cords for stems as shown onto die cut scallop white oval.  Adhere to green card base.  Stamp sentiment and punch out shape using designer label punch.  Adhere label at the bottom of card base as shown.
That's it for now.   Our Spring Session will start on Monday April 13, 2015 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.  Have a great Spring break and hope to see you all at the first class!
