Spring Card Making Class - May 11 and 16, 2022

Hello everyone,

Hope you are doing well and enjoying the nice weather we have. Below is a recap of the cards we made at our last class meetings. Pictures of the cards we will be making on Monday May 23rd and Wednesday May 25th  are included toward the end of this post.

Strawberry Window Fold - Stamp, color and cut out strawberries & flowers image, stamp and punch out sentiment, adhere pattern paper and bow as shown.

Peach Card - Adhere peach pattern paper onto green card base; adhere green half circle onto white circle; wrap cotton threads and tie a bow around the panel. Finish off by adding flowers and butterfly as shown.

Sea Shells Accordion Fold - Adhere each of the 8 sea shell panels onto white mats; Fold blue strip into "M" shape; Center and adhere 4 sea shell panels onto to the strip and tape the ends inside the card lining up with each end of the card base. Add blue grain Washi tape onto card front; Stamp and punch out sentiment; Adhere two shell panels, sentiment and brads to front as shown.

Fun Stenciling - Tape 1/8" Washi tape onto white card panel at an angle to divide panel into 5 sections;  Mask off to reveal one section at a time; Starting with the lightest color, place stencil on top of the section, brush on ink, remove stencil without remove mask and brush over the section with the same color without inking. Move mask to the next section and use different stencil pattern & ink color (Memento ink: Dandelion, Bamboo Leaves, Danube Blue, Bahama Blue & Grape Jelly). Repeat the same inking process for all 5 sections.
