January 23, 2012 Card Making Class

Hello ladies,

Sorry, I am so late posting.  Time just flew right by again!  Of course, I've been busy making Valentine cards for my order.  I post some of them below for you to see.

Below are the cards we made 2 weeks ago.  The first one is a hydrangea anniversary card.  This method is called paper piecing.  First, we stamped on the white card stock and set aside.  We then stamped the blossom portion onto blue pattern paper and leaves portion onto green pattern paper.  Cut out the outline of both the blossom and leaves portions from the pattern papers and glue them on top of the previously stamped white card stock.  Mat it with the green card stock and tape it onto the flap of the card.  Punch out flowers from green card stock, curve the petals and glue on card.  Add pearls to flower centers and sticker sentiment.
This Valentine card below is made by punching the green card stock with scallop border punch.  Glue white card strip onto green border card.  Wrap rose ribbon around both card and tape in back.  Punch out 3 red scallop circles and 3 1-inch circles.  Add dry rose stickers to white circles and glue on top of red scallop circles.  Glue these with foam tape onto ribbon panel as shown.  Add gold sticker sentiment on top portion of card.

This seahorse card is made by putting the stickers onto a sheet of acetate, color the back with Sharpie markers, tape onto the card window, and add the water pattern paper behind it.  The inside of the card is then lined with blue paper to cover up the back of the window.  Punch out shape from white card stock and add sticker sentiment.
The lighthouse was stamped onto white card stock with blue ink and glued onto blue card stock for mat.  Silver cording was wrapped around the bottom of card panel and panel was taped onto white card stock.  Punch out white and blue card stock for sentiment sticker.  Add blue bubbles on top right hand corner.
The cards below are Valentine cards that I made for a lady at work.  She has been ordering cards from me for the past couple of years.  Mainly for Valentine and Mother's Day.  Enjoy!
