December 10, 2012 Card Making Class

Happy New Year everyone!

Sorry for the late post.  I've been out of town visiting families.  Hope everyone had a great Christmas spending time with families and friends.

Below are the cards we made in our last class of the Fall Session.  The first card was made by embossing the pearl card stock with Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The tag was cut with a Spellbinder die using rose metallic card stock. The sheer ribbon was looped through the holes, wrap around the pearl card stock and tie a knot on one end as shown.  The whole panel was taped onto a rose card base.  Add a punched white oval and gold sticker sentiment in center.  Finish off with a sheer flower as shown.

This next card was made by tying a knot with a gold sheer ribbon through the opening as shown.  The flower was made by punching 12 scallop hearts out of double sided pattern paper.  Punch a 1" circle out of white card stock as base and fold into 4 quadrants.  Glue 4 hearts in each of the 4 quadrants meeting in center of circle.  Fold remaining hearts in half and glue in between each hearts all around as shown.  Punch a small flower and glue on top.  Add gem in center as shown..  Finish off with gold sticker sentiment.
This tri-fold card was made by folding 5-1/2" x 12" into thirds and fold the last panel in half. Tear the top of a white card stock measured 2-1/2" x 5-1/2" as shown.  Create the snow banks by taping removable tape and sponging light blue ink at various areas as shown.  Glue snowflake paper to the center panel.  Adhere die cut trees and Rudoph and finish off with a red bling on his nose.
Here's another angle of the card to show the folds.  Add silver sticker sentiment to finish card.
By the way, the Winter 2013 session will start next Monday January 7, 2013.  This session will only have 4 class meetings (1/7, 2/4, 3/4 and 3/18) due to the holidays.  That's it for now.  Let me know if you are planning to sign up for class so I can prepare enough materials for the class.
