Spring Card Making Class - Thursday April 13 and Saturday April 15

Hello everyone,

Hope you are doing well. Below is a recap of the cards we made at our first class meeting.

Unfortunately, I don't have a preview for next week's class since all my stuff are packed in boxes. I will try my best to get everything unpacked (at least my crafts stuff anyway! 😀) over the weekend so I can get the cards ready for our next class on 4/27 and 4/29.

Take care,

Connie

Vellum Birthday: Add a couple drops of alcohol inks (Monsoon, Purple Twilight & Wild Plum) w/ some blending solution onto a felt applicator and sponge on a vellum piece; Tape flower stencil over vellum; Add a few drops of Alcohol Lift ink on a foam applicator and sponge over the stencil and vellum to lift off the color from the vellum. Wipe with paper towel as you go to dry off and reveal images. Assemble card with black frame, ribbon, gems and sticker as shown.

Bleach Hydrangea: Stamp hydrangea with VersaMark ink, add black embossing powder over stamped image and heat emboss. Use a small brush to cover image with bleach and let dry. Color hydrangea petals with blue color pencil and leave with different shades of green color pencils. Assemble card with ribbon, gems and sentiment sticker as shown.

Stenciled Butterflies: Cover white card panel with butterflies stencil, brush Bahama Blue and Pear Tart Memento inks over butterflies stencil. Leave all the layers as is and carefully add flowers stencil on top. Brush Grape Jelly Memento ink to flowers onto the butterfly images. Assemble with ribbon and gems as shown.

Perfect Pearl Spring Blossom: Rub pink ink pad onto the front of the 3D embossing folder, add white panel onto the un-inked side of the embossing folder and run through the machine to emboss image. Using a sponge dauber, lightly brush VersaMark ink over raised images and brush perfect pearl powder over the same images. Assemble cards with flowers, pearls and sentiment sticker as shown.
