Hope you are well. Below is a quick recap of the cards we made in class. Next Gel Printing class will be February 12, 2025.

Embossed Cherry Blossom: Brayer yellow, pink & lavender acrylic paints onto gel plate and pull 1st print. Brayer red, metallic red & purple acrylic paints onto gel plate, place embossed cherry blossom cardboard on top and rub lightly to imprint the blossom design. Remove cardboard and place the 1st print onto gel plate to pick up the cherry blossom design onto the print. Die cut shape and place it in the 3D embossing folder to line up with the cherry blossom image and run through the machine to emboss the print. Sponge gold paint, add gems and adhere onto ivory card base. Add gold scroll stickers and 'Hello' sentiment to finish card as shown.

Alcohol ink & Vellum Butterfly: Brayer a few drops of hand sanitizer gel onto gel plate. Add drops of pink, purple & gold alcohol inks on top. Use blower to spread alcohol ink around to cover the gel plate. Place the die cut medallion and a piece of white paper over top, rub all over to transfer the design onto gel plate and pull the 1st print. Let inks dry, remove die cut medallion and brayer a light layer of white iridescent acrylic paint over gel plate. Place white paper on top and rub thoroughly to lift 2nd and final print. Die cut rectangle and adhere onto pink card base. Add vellum butterfly, gems and stamp sentiment to finish card as shown.

Thinking of You Flowers: Brayer Antique Linen & Victorian Velvet Oxide inks onto gel plate. Place swirls stencil on top, place paper over top, rub well to transfer design and pull 1st print. Remove stencil and place the 1st print back on top to pick remaining design for final print. Die cut frame and stamp flowers with black ink. Color flowers with Prismacolor pencils. Adhere onto lime green card base and add stamped sentiment to finish.

Silver Embossed Seahorse: Brayer Bahama Blue Memento ink onto gel plate, lightly spray some blue & green Mica Stain ink on top of gel plate, place mixed media card panel on top and let the ink soaked in. Remove print, let dry and die cut with rectangular frame. Stamp seahorse with clear VersaMark ink and heat emboss with Iridescent Silver embossing powder. Stamp seaweeds and fishes with Stormy Sky Distress ink in background. Adhere panel onto black mat before adhering onto white card base. Add stamped sentiment to finish.
