Hello everyone,

Hope you are staying cool inside. Below is a quick recap of the cards we made in our first class. Next and last class meeting for the Summer Session will be on July 29, 2026.

Take care,

Connie

Summer Surfboards: Brayer Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass & Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks onto gel plate. Stamp surfboards with black ink and die cut print with rounded rectangle die. Color surfboards with markers. Mount panel onto black mat before adhering onto white card base. Add stamped sentiment to finish.
Stencil Leaves & Flamingo: Brayer Twisted Citron & Mowed Lawn Distress inks onto gel plate. Place leaves stencil on top and place paper over. Rub well to transfer leave images. Remove print and stencil. Brayer the gel plate again using the remaining inks on the gel plate and brayer. Place the initial print back on gel plate and rub well to add colors to the background. Die cut print with curve die. Adhere print onto rose card base. Sponge die cut flamingo and wing with Rose Bud Memento and color beak with black marker. Adhere flamingo and die cut legs onto card. Add stamped sentiment and black gem for the eye to finish.
3D Embossed Hibiscus: Brayer Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks onto gel plate. Place multi-media card panel on top and rub well before pulling print. Die cut print with rectangle stitch die and deboss panel with 3D embossing folder. Brayer Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink onto gel plate and place the debossed panel onto gel plate. Lightly rub the perimeter to pick up the green color without covering the entire deboss image. Adhere panel onto black mat before mounting onto yellow card base. Add sticker sentiment and highlight the flower centers with gold pen and glitter glue to finish.
Perfect Pearl Fuchsia Celebrate: Place flower stencil onto gel plate and brush on Micro Pearl Perfect Pearl powders. Wipe off excess powder and remove stencil. Brayer a thin layer of Fuchsia acrylic paint all over gel plate and place paper on top. Rub well and pull print. Die cut print using Celebrate die. Adhere print onto Pearlescent paper panel before adhering onto Pearlescent Pink card base. Add Washi strips on top and bottom of card to finish.
