September 19 Card Making Class

Hi ladies,

Sorry for the late post!  It's good to see all of you back again!  We missed you Trudy and Marilyn!

By the way, if you don't want to have to remember my blog address, there's a spot on the right margin of my blog below "Follow by Email" for you to add your email address.  Click "Submit" after you entered your email address.  It will automatically send you an email of my blog updates each time I update my blog.  No email means no updates.  It's that simple!  It doesn't send you any spam mail or sell your email address to anyone else.  Try it!  It's very convenient!

Everyone finished their cards in class.  So there was no homework!  Since it was the first day back from a long Summer off, I thought I would take it easy on you ladies.  Guess I'll have to challenge you a little more at the next class! ;o)

Here's the first Fall card.  The card base came pre-cut with the window opening.  The pumpkin was made by punching 5 - 1 inch circle out of orange card stock, folded in half and sponged the edges with brown ink.  The half circles were glued together one side at a time to form accordion-like circle.  The stem was stamped with the swirls in green ink onto a square white card stock and the pumpkin was then glued on top.  The sentiment was stamped with brown ink and punched out.  Sponged the edges with brown ink and glued with foam tape in the bottom front of the card.
This train card was made by stamping the train onto beige card stock, punched out shape and sponge edges with brown ink.  The top background paper was sponged with brown ink around the edges before adhering to the front of the card with the brown card stock at the bottom.  The train image was adhered with foam tape center on top. Add sticker sentiment on the bottom.
The car was stamped onto white card stock and matted with black card stock.  It is then adhered with foam tape onto white card stock with pearl edge and matted with black card stock.  Silver ribbon was wrapped on the bottom edge.  The sticker sentiment was added to a white punch-out shape.  The black punch-out shape was cut in half length wise and tape behind the white punch-out as shown.  Adhere with foam tape in the center of the ribbon.  The whole thing was then taped onto a white card base.
This last card is simple fun Halloween card using glittery green paper background glued onto orange card base.  The stripe pattern paper was glued onto top of a black card strip and adhered on top of the card as shown.  The BOO! word was made with die cut letters.  Small white oval shapes were glued behind the black "O" to look like eye balls before gluing them down.
That's it for now.  I can't believe 2 weeks have almost gone by and it's time for me to prepare for this Monday's class!  Have a great weekend and see you on Monday!
